I forgot how much I love Angel Food Cake. When I was growing up, I wanted it at every birthday. As I got older I started wanting to branch out to other cakes but our mom still made me Angel Food Birthday Cakes. As a misguided rebellion, I put my food down about Angel Food Cake. Mistake! Big Mistake! Angel Food Cake is delicious. When Laurie and I made our The Best Pink Lemonade Frosting, I knew it would it would taste great on Angel Food Cake. And I was right … Angel Food Cupcakes with Pink Lemonade Frosting are absolutely delicious. I guess I know what I’ll be having for my birthday this year!
We started with a box of Angel Food Cake mix and made the batter according to the directions on the box. We filled the cupcake liners 3/4 of the way which yielded us 28 cupcakes. Then we baked the Angel Food Cupcakes in a 350 degree oven for 20-22 minutes or until the tops of the cupcakes were golden brown and cracked.
Next we made up a batch of our super yummy The Best Pink Lemonade Frosting. You can find the recipe and all the detailed instructions you need to make this light and delicious Pink Lemonade Frosting right here. We loaded the frosting into a decorating bag with a Wilton 2D Decorating tip.
After we swirled on the Pink Lemonade Frosting, we added some pretty pink, yellow and white sprinkles. Gorgeous!

Instructions
- Make up a batch of Angel Food Cake mix according to the directions on the box.
- Fill the cupcake liners 3/4 of the way and bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-22 minutes or until the tops of the cupcakes were golden brown and cracked.
- Next, make a batch of our The Best Pink Lemonade Frosting.
- Load the frosting into a decorating bag with a Wilton 2D Decorating tip.
- Swirled on the Pink Lemonade Frosting.
- Add pretty pink, yellow and white sprinkles.
