Banana Bread
Here is our classic Banana Bread recipe that tastes like home and family. The perfect blend of banana flavor and moist sweet bread. So yummy.
Banana Bread reminds us of our childhood. Our mom turned all ripe bananas into this yummy and easy-to-make bread. Eventually, we caught on and stopped eating the bananas so she would make her yummy homemade banana bread. This is our mom’s recipe perfected over the years and made into our own. The perfect blend of sweet quick bread and banana flavor, we love this recipe. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
How to Make the Batter
Step 1: Add softened Butter and Granulated Sugar to a mixing bowl.
Step 2: Cream together with a mixer.
Step 3: Add Egg and Vanilla and mix until light and fluffy.
Step 4: Add mashed bananas and mix until combined.
Step 5: The batter will be wet.
Step 6: Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix just until combined.
Step 7: Add the Brown Sugar.
Step 8: Mix until combined.
Baking Instructions
Step 9: Lightly grease the bottom and sides of an 8×4″ loaf pan. Spoon batter into the loaf pan.
Step 10: Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Storing/Serving Instructions
Banana Bread will stay fresh for 3-4 days in an airtight container or wrapped in aluminum foil. You don’t need to refrigerate it. You can freeze it for up to 3 months. Our favorite way to eat it is warmed up slightly in the microwave and topped with a pad of butter. Mmmmm ….. Mmmmm …. good.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup Butter (Salted Sweet Cream, softened)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 ripe Bananas (smashed)
- 2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 heaping tablespoon Brown Sugar
Instructions
- Add softened Butter and Granulated Sugar to a mixing bowl. Cream together with a mixer.
- Add Egg and Vanilla and mix until light and fluffy.
- Add smashed bananas and mix until combined.
- Add Dry Ingredients and mix just until combined.
- Add the Brown Sugar and mix.
- Lightly grease the bottom and sides of a 8x4" loaf pan.
- Spoon batter into the loaf pan.
- Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
