Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Make a batch of our The Best Sugar Cookie Recipe
  2. Roll out the cookie dough as you would for traditional sugar cookies, however you want the rolled-out dough to be on the thinner side.  Use a round cookie cutter to cut out some circles.
  3. Lay the cookie dough circles onto the top of an opening in a mini muffin tin.  Press the center of the cookie dough down and mold it around the inside of the cup of the muffin tin.
  4. Bake the cookie cups in a 350-degree oven for 5-6 minutes.  You don’t want the edges or the outside of the cookie cup to get too dark so watch the cookies carefully around the 4-minute mark and take them out before they start browning.  Let the cookie cups cool completely.
  5. Melt 15-20 Wilton Bright White Candy Melts in the microwave, stopping to stir the candy every 15 seconds. (You could also use White Chocolate Chips.)
  6. Dip the tops of the Cookie Cups into the melted candy melts and then dip them into your Christmas sprinkles.
  7. Allow the candy coating on the cookie cups to completely harden before filling the cookie cups with frosting.
  8. Next, you need to make up a batch of our Best Buttercream Frosting.   Tint it green.  We used Wilton Yellow and Blue Food Coloring to make a pretty Christmas Tree green color.
  9. Using a pastry bag and a Wilton 1M frosting tip, fill the cookie cup with a swirl of buttercream frosting – this is the "tree". Finally, add a few of your Christmas Sprinkles on the frosting tree as your ornaments!
