How to Roast Garlic

Ingredients

  • 3 large heads of Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Aluminum Foil

Instructions

  1. Remove the paper wrappers covering the cloves of garlic but do not break the cloves off the head.
  2. Carefully slice off the top of the head of cloves to expose the meat of the garlic cloves.
  3. Cut off a piece of aluminum foil that will be big enough to cover the head of garlic.
  4. Drizzle the head of garlic with olive oil.
  5. Wrap the head of garlic in the aluminum foil.
  6. Place the wrapped garlic on a cookie sheet.
  7. Roast the garlic in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
  8. Remove the heads of garlic from the aluminum foil.  When the garlic has cooled, you will be able to easily remove the roasted cloves of garlic from the remaining paper wrappers. They are now ready for your Roasted Mashed Potatoes, your party dip or any other recipe!
