In reply to Judy Gerstenslager. Hi! I'm sorry the cookies were flat this time. It could be so many things, especially in the summer. The butter definitely could have been too soft, the baking soda could be getting old, not quite the right amount of flour, the hot summer weather or maybe the oven wasn't all the way heated up.

I’ve made these before and they were perfect. Today, I made them and they were flat and crisp! I reviewed the recipe and I know I followed it explicitly. Any idea what happened? Was my butter too soft? I refrigerated the dough after the first dozen were flat, but even that didn’t seem to help.

Absolutely the BEST oatmeal raisin cookies!! I have made these several times now and they turn out perfect every time! My husband who is normally not fond of oatmeal raisin cookies … now asks me to make these almost every other week!! I have taken several batches to work and they do not last more than a half day!! Everyone loves them! Thank you for sharing your fantastic recipe!!

These are best I have ever had! Followed the recipe the first time. Second time I increased vanilla to 1 1/2 tsp. and added a 1/4 tsp. of Nutmeg. I thought the nutmeg enhanced the cinnamon flavor. I have passed this recipe on to several family members and they also think they are the best.

I just pulled my test cookie out of the oven and ate it. It was still a bit hot but who cares? It was worth it! These cookies are absolutely amazing. I’m getting rid of any other saved oatmeal raisin cookie recipe as this will be the only one I ever make in the future. Your recipes are always wonderful. Thank you.

These are the best oatmeal cookies ever! Soaking the raisins in the eggs and vanilla make the difference. They are my go to cookie.

I Lost My Other Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, So I Decided To Give Your Recipe A Try And I’m Very Happy That I Used It!! My Husband Had To Help Me With Mixing After I Added The Raisins, Eggs And Vanilla… I Did A Double Batch As My Husband’s Favorite Cookie Is These!! Omg!! These were awesome!! To make it healthier i replaced the flour with whole wheat and it was amazin!! Everyone should try making this. I added cranberries and ground walnuts as i needed to finish the little i had and it was outrageously delicious!! Thanks so much for the recipe!!

These cookies are the best oatmeal raisin cookies I’ve ever eaten! I intended to make them an hour or two after soaking the raisins but I was too tired, so I left the raisins in the fridge overnight and they were so plump! They were so easy to make and I had one while it was still warm and I said to myself, “wow!” My daughter loves oatmeal raisin cookies so I had to share the recipe with her! They were perfect in every way!!
