You can find all the directions you’ll need to make these delicious treats right here. The Rice Krispie Bites are Green, White, and Bright Green so you will need to make three separate batches of Rice Krispie Treat mixture. You will find directions on how to make the colored Rice Krispie mixture below.
How to Make Green Rice Krispie Bites
First, make a 3 Cup batch of Rice Krispie Treat mixture (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Mini Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal). Add the food coloring BEFORE you add the Rice Krispie Cereal. To create this darker shade of Green we used our Wilton Color Right Food coloring in the following combination:
6 Drops of Yellow
3 Drops of Blue
Allow the green Rice Krispie Treat mixture to cool enough so you can handle it but that it is still malleable. To get Rice Krispie Bites that were the same sized I measured .5 oz. of the mixture on my food scale and then used my hands to roll it into a ball. If the mixture is too sticky, rub your fingers with some butter. I was able to make 18 Rice Krispie Treat Bites from this 3 cup batch of Rice Krispie Treat Mixture.
How to Make White Rice Krispie Bites
For the white Rice Krispie Treat Bites, follow the directions as outlined above but do not add any food coloring to the marshmallow mixture.
How to make Bright Green Rice Krispie Treat Bites
For the bright green Rice Krispie Treat Bites, follow the directions listed above. Add the food coloring to the marshmallow mixture BEFORE you add the Rice Krispie Cereal. We got this pretty color of green by adding the following amounts of Wilton Color Right Food Coloring;
6 Drops of Yellow
1 Drop of Blue
