Ingredients You Will Need
How to Make the Rice Krispie Treat Mixture
Step 1: The base for our Christmas Wreath Rice Krispie Treats is our Best Ever Rice Krispie Treat Recipe which we have adjusted and perfected over the years until it is now absolutely the best Rice Krispie Treat recipe we have ever tasted. You can find all the directions you’ll need to make these delicious treats right here.
How to Color the Rice Krispie Mixture
Step 2: You need to make a 3 cup batch (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal) of Rice Krispie Treat mixture and tint it green. Add the food coloring BEFORE you add the Rice Krispie Cereal. We use Wilton Color Right Food Coloring. It creates very vibrant colors without having to use a lot of food coloring. Here is the Food Coloring Formula we used: 6 drops of yellow and 3 drops of Blue
How to Make the Edible Bows
Step 3: Use Cherry Fruit by the Foot to make the bow for the wreath. Cut the Fruit by Foot in half vertically and cut off about a 6-8″ strip.
Step 4: Fold into a bow shape and pinch the center delicately so the shape holds its place.
Step 5: Trim the tails on the bow.
Step 6: Use one of the tails to make a small cylinder and press it onto the center of the bow. Pinch it onto the bow. Make six of these bows.
How to Make the Wreath
Step 7: Grab a handful of the green Rice Krispie Treat mixture.
Steps 8-9: Shape the mixture into Wreath-like rings.
Step 10: Finally, embellish the Christmas Wreath Rice Krispie Treats with six red Mini M&M’s and the Fruit by the Foot bow. Make sure you do this part while the green Rice Krispie Treat mixture is still warm and sticky or the M&M’s will fall off later.
