Hi Candace – We haven’t tried that but I don’t know why it wouldn’t work.

Hi Diane – we like the taste of the marshmallow mixture but I’ve seen recipes that use the candy melts/white chocolate. As long as you have oil based candy food coloring that should work though. Good luck!

Hi Jessica – Yes it can. But it is a little chewier the next day. Our family still likes it the next day (and the day after that!) but it does taste the best freshly made.

Hi Christy – The popcorn is a little bit sticky and the more marshmallow mixture you use the stickier it will be. Here are some tips … 1) use a good food coloring to make sure that the mixture is bright blue. 2) Make sure you are only using 10 cups of popped popcorn. 3) Use a big bowl like the one we are using in the pictures. You really need to churn the popcorn around to get it 100& covered. 3) Don’t slowly drizzle the marshmallow mixture on the popcorn, you need a good amount of it to work with as you are stirring. I usually pour about half the mixture onto the top of the popcorn. Then I give the popcorn a good stir – I usually use a rubber spatula to do the stirring. Then I had half of the remaining mixture and stir it again. You really need to work the popcorn around in the big bowl with the spatula. Hope that helps.

And is the popcorn suppose to be sticky even after it is cooled? Mine came out really sticky even after it was cooled. I couldn’t get the color to coat all the popcorn it kept sticky in clumps and I ran out of the melted marshmallow mixture and it still was barely coated. What am I doing wrong? I am trying to master this so I can make it for a baby shower in a couple of weeks??? HELP??

Also, I did you get your color to distribute so evenly? It seemed like I was running out of the mixtures before it even covered all the popcorn and I was stirring as I was pouring the melted marshmallows over it, HELP!!! I’m trying to make this for a baby shower in a couple of weeks…

Hi! We make our own in a pan and add salt. But microwave popcorn will work too. I definitely would pick a salted version with no butter. Hope that helps!
